ON Screen meters just like a tv, when adjusting display contast,brightness etc.  Same with volume.  Just like a tv with little bars, it will show you on your screen, and quite convenient.

QUICK Buttons
The laptop at the front as you see in the pictures below, has 3 buttons under the touchpoint pad.  The button in the middle you can assign a program to, so that when you press it, it automatically launches that program!  The default is Internet Explorer, but you can set it to whatever you want.  Just press the button and your fav program starts.
The two buttons at the side of that button, are volume buttons, the volume meter shows you on screen little bars just like tv does.
The FUNCTION KEYS have two usages as on most laptops.  From these you can control the CD ROM, and skip tracks, fast forward, rewind, play, go into standby mode etc.   Also you can use these to adjust the screen brightness, contrast etc.
